Calico Cat on Rug Art Piece

This one of kind 8x8 inch art piece features a top view of a calico cat resting on a braided rug. The rug is muslin hand appliqued on to the background fabric, with batting underneath to create dimension. Additional layers of batting and quilting create the cat. Hand quilting with beads every other stitch create the braided rug look. The cat's pattern was drawn by hand. The piece is mounted to a 1/4 inch plywood.
